You've probably tried the self-care version already: the apps, the tips, the retreat. Each helped for about a week. You're not broken. You're out of rhythm.
What wears you down is the admin in your evenings, being the backup for everyone, the day off that costs you money. Become the Captain works on the structure of your week, not on how you feel about it. I built it after burning out in my own practice in late 2016, rebuilding it step by step. I still see patients every week.
Why the name Rejuvenal?
Rejuvenal blends my surname, Renfer, with Juvenal, the Roman poet who wrote of mens sana in corpore sano: a sound mind in a sound body, and a courageous heart. It also echoes "rejuvenate".
Orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano.
Fortem posce animum mortis terrore carentem,
qui spatium vitae extremum inter munera ponat
naturae, qui ferre queat quoscumque labores,
nesciat irasci, cupiat nihil et potiores
Herculis aerumnas credat saevosque labores
et venere et cenis et pluma Sardanapalli.
You should pray for a sound mind in a sound body. Ask for a brave heart that does not fear death, that counts the last stretch of life among nature's gifts, that can bear any hardship, that knows no anger, desires nothing, and holds the trials and hard labours of Hercules better than the loves, feasts and feather cushions of Sardanapalus.
Juvenal, Satires X, 356–362
Rejuvenal is for self-employed health professionals who give everything to others. It's a place to set your own course again, and to care for yourself with the same attention you give everyone else.
